No one who is notorious for the impact, good or bad, they made on the world has done it alone. They had help, whether they are remembered or not.
How can we both recognize that the work that we do to support others is enough, valuable, and important? When someone call you out for not doing enough for social change or claims you are "lazy"...maybe you say that "I'm a pillar and a node in a network of support that makes others' "work" possible."
Also, how can we recognize the ways that our silence and enabling can be complicity in people with power doing harm? Our enabling of this toxic, destructive, abusive, or violent behavior, although invisible, still needs to be called out. It's easier to hide behind a "bad guy" then step up and also take responsibility as a witness, enabler, accomplice, or bystander.
