I'm not sure if they're doing this for everyone or if this year is unique, but I got my FIRST actual response from a song contest. Contests do not really matter to me because what making and sharing music provides me is immeasurable on its own; however, it is nice to get some feedback.
I didn't win, but I got some great feedback. And I got one 10/10 for the "aptness of melody" - which I guess means that the melody matches the mood/lyrics/theme.
They mentioned that my hook wasn't catchy enough - which is fine! I totally agree and am at peace with the choice I made.
