Equality Labs recently sent out their email announcing Dalit History Month. And there are some wonderful articles posted there. Their recent newsletter also had me reflecting on the importance of "debrahminizing wealth" as EL put it, or equitably redistributing wealth or paying reparations as individuals or as a society to people who have been marginalized in India. It's uncomfortable for me, and yet important, to consider how wealth is amassed due to class and caste - how savarna ancestors might have exploited Dalit-Bahujan and Adivasi people and amassed wealth due to extracting resources and labor and/or displacing people from their land - or complicity with these oppressive actions.
